Videography

My videography experiences start back in 2011, when I made my first music video with my friends after school to "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepson. It was so much fun to make, and for my friends to be in, that I made a few more in my high school career just for fun, on top of the countless I made for class projects. Everyone wanted to be partnered with me so we could make a really cool video, and getting a good grade on it wasn't a bad part either.

When I was starting college in 2016, I didn't know what to even make video of anymore. None of my classes were assigning projects that I could make videos for, and I had outgrown the music video phase the previous year, so there I was, just a girl with a camera with noting to film.

It wasn't until I was sitting in physical therapy for extreme pain in my shoulder and neck that I realized I missed making videos. We had come to the conclusion that my pain was from the constant stress I was under. The PT told me to find something I enjoyed doing and do it as often as I could. When she asked me if I had any hobbies, I didn't know what to say. All I did in my free time anymore was watch a pointless show on TV or video on YouTube. Then, it hit me... I had been watching so many people with cameras that found things to film.

I am sill trying to find my style, but I do know that I love helping and teaching. That is where my latest project idea, The Small Business Discovery, came from. I wanted a way to help small businesses get their name out into the world, at least the area of the world that they serve, and also wanted to teach people how important small businesses are to the economy, and give other small business owners free opportunities to learn about different parts of owning a business, so what better way to do that than all at once?

So, there I was, a girl with a camera with lots to film.
